Proper pub food made in our own kitchen, Devon-sourced steak and chicken, and a Sunday roast, served in a 1926 pub with a log fire and a big garden.
Generous plates, fair prices and a warm welcome
We’re a pub first, so don’t expect white tablecloths. Expect a proper welcome, plates that leave you full and food cooked here rather than reheated. Our ribs and chicken are from Devon, the steak is a Devon-sourced 10oz sirloin, the fish is battered in our own beer batter and the pizzas are made in-house.
Locals come in for a midweek supper after work. Families come for the Sunday roast. Holidaymakers find us on the way back from the beach and walkers turn up with muddy dogs. All of that is exactly how we like it.

Eating with us
What kind of food do you serve?
Pub classics and homemade favourites: ribs, steak, hunters chicken, fish and chips in our own beer batter, lasagne, burgers and 9-inch pizzas made in-house, plus a Sunday roast.
Do you cater for vegetarians and gluten-free diets?
Yes. Several dishes are vegetarian or vegan, and many can be made gluten-free. Tell us about any allergies when you book and the team will talk you through the options.
Can I bring children?
Of course. There’s a children’s menu at £8 with chicken strips, sausage or pizza, served with fries and beans or peas.
Can you take a large group?
Yes. For bigger groups we can set up long tables in the function room. Call us or send a booking request.
When is food served?
Wednesday to Friday 4pm to 8pm, Saturday 12pm to 8pm and Sunday 12pm to 3:30pm. There’s no food on Monday or Tuesday.
